Borough Gallery & Studio is a working studio/gallery by scheduled event or appointment located at 180 Flynn Avenue (through the SEABA entrance)  in Burlington, VT’s South End.  Borough is run collectively by 4 Vermont artists: Shawna Cross, an abstract oil painter; Stephen Orloske, a writer; Emily Wilson, an installation artist; and Kate Ashman, a mixed media painter.

Aside from using this space as our studio, we’ve developed it to serve as a community arts center for local artist to exhibit their work as well. We create and curate events and exhibitions to shed light on emerging area artists and provide them with a platform to to display their unique vision and voice, while in turn highlighting Burlington’s South End as an area where art and culture have a profound impact and influence.

One Response to “About”

  1. I recently relocated to Burlington from NYC where I worked for yours in the art world. I currently have an online gallery site that promotes the work of Emerging Artists from NYC and now a few from the Burlington area. I have been searching for a venue to exhibit the work of some of my artists and was wondering if your venue worked with such projects or if you know of any spaces in town that might be interested in a show exhibiting the work of both NYC and Vermont Emerging artists. Thanks so much for your help.
    Sincerely,
    JOHN CIPRIANO
